Born in D.R. Congo, Central Africa, Merveille moved to the U.K with his family at the age of 2 and was raised in Woolwich, South East London.
After being recommended to an acting agent at the age of 16 he attended the meeting and was signed to the agency upon impressing. His first ever professional role came later that year (2006) when he was cast as Sierra Leonean child soldier Moses in the subsequent FESPACO Award winning Feature film 'Ezra'. First TV appearance came in 2007 when he appeared in the long running ITV series The Bill as Tre Douglas.
His West End stage debut came in early 2008 when he signed up for a 4 month run of Richard Harrow's adaption of the Bertolt Brecht classic "The Good Person Of Szechuan" at the Young Vic Theatre.
His most notable credit to date came In the summer of 2008 when he landed the role as series regular; Thomas in the BAFTA Award winning E4 Teen Drama 'Skins', which he won rave reviews for (see here)
